Below are some quick snap shots I have taken of the early stages of a puppet I have had designed. He is quite a small puppet in size which is what I like, once on the hand I find smaller puppets to be easier to operate.

above is a photo of his foam skull, the two templates in the same picture are for his mouthplate which will be cut from timber in the next few days.

Above are a few pattern pieces for the puppet, once deciding the length and width of the puppets arms and legs I make rough cardboard patterns like these.

Above is the arms and legs cut and pinned ready to be sewn, I usually machine sew the arms and legs.

Above are the arms and legs turned right side out after being sewn together.

Above is the body which has a foam body inside.
I will try and update as much as possible, this puppet is more of a spare time puppet to make inbetween real jobs so it may take some time to complete. have a great day all
